ABOUT ME

The Who: Who is Zo - The Heart Whisperer?

Hi there! I’m Zo—part relationship whisperer, part book lover, full-time fan of all things love (yes, even the messy, dramatic bits), and your favorite ordained minister who believes love deserves both honesty and humor.

For over 11 years, I’ve been the go-to person for advice on everything from “Why hasn’t he texted back?” to “Is this really the hill I want my relationship to die on?” With a B.S. in Psychology, an M.A. in Communication, and an M.S. in Sociology, I’ve spent years diving deep into how and why we connect (or crash and burn). I’ve got the degrees—but more importantly, I’ve got the receipts—from real-life experience to late-night heart-to-hearts.

This blog isn’t a lecture—it’s a cozy, judgment-free zone where we laugh, vent, overanalyze texts, and maybe cry just a little (because healing is messy, okay?). Whether you're single, taken, or stuck somewhere in between, you’re in the right place.

So, grab your favorite drink, get comfy, and let’s talk love—awkward first dates, situationships, overthinking, and all.

Your slightly sarcastic relationship BFF (with degrees, receipts, and a license to marry you... literally)

The What: What is This Blog All About?

Let’s be real—relationship advice can be boring, out of touch, or straight-up wrong. That’s why I started this blog: to give honest, thoughtful, no-fluff guidance that actually feels like it was written by someone who's been there. (Because I have. Repeatedly.)

This is your space for all things love—dating dilemmas, communication drama, keeping the spark alive, and navigating the weird, wonderful mess that is modern relationships. I cover it all with a mix of psychology, sass, and "oof, same" energy.

Got a burning question about your love life? Click that shiny “Just Ask Zo” button. It’s not a chatbot. It’s not a forum. It’s me, giving you real advice delivered directly to your inbox. No judgment, no B.S.—just one smart friend (hi, that’s me) trying to help you sort it out.

Getting this site to look the way I wanted took longer than most situationships last, but we made it. So bookmark the blog, poke around, and let’s make your love life a little less confusing—and a lot more intentional.

The Why: Why I Started This Blog?

Let’s be real—love is messy. Beautiful, magical, confusing, gut-wrenching messy. And I’ve been there. More than once.

I started this blog because I’m passionate about love—not just the fairytale kind, but the real stuff. The complicated, imperfect, sometimes chaotic kind that no one really prepares you for. I’ve had my share of good times, bad choices, heartbreaks, hard lessons, and healing. And through it all, one thing stuck with me: I wish someone had just told me the truth.

No fluff. No filters. No psychobabble.

That “aha” moment hit me while scrolling through social media, watching people get terrible advice in relationship groups—things that were harmful, unrealistic, or straight-up toxic. And I thought, Wait... this is what people are turning to? Where’s the honesty? Where’s the compassion?

So I decided to be the person I needed back then.

As a relationship advisor, minister, and survivor of domestic violence, I bring both professional insight and real-life experience. But more than that, I bring heart. My goal is simple: to create a space where anyone can ask questions about love, dating, boundaries, heartbreak, healing—all of it—and get solid, non-biased advice without judgment.

Whether you’re falling in love, falling apart, or just trying to figure it all out, I’m here to whisper some truth to your heart.
